Copper And Aluminum Electrodes Marine Growth Preventing System, also call MGPS.
System Description
For the QLFH series Marine Growth Preventing System (MGPS), its control box features multiple groups of independent constant-current control modules. These modules energize the anodes (copper electrodes for anti-fouling and aluminum/iron electrodes for anti-corrosion) inside seawater bins. During electrolysis, ions that prevent fouling and corrosion are produced in the seawater and then distributed across the entire seawater cooling pipe network. This efficiently reduces and stops biological and electrochemical corrosion triggered by marine biofouling in seawater pipelines, guaranteeing the seawater piping systems operate as intended.
The device has two installation methods: direct installation and indirect installation with an additional electrolytic cell.
Application
This device is applicable to all types of ships, offshore platforms, floating docks, and other facilities that require seawater for cooling, fire protection, and other purposes, including seawater tanks, filters, and piping systems.
Type and Function Selection
The QLFH-01 series control box is available in two options: a standard type and an electrode monitoring type. The standard type is controlled by a PCB integrated circuit, with current displayed via nixie tubes and alarm indications through LED lights. The intelligent electrode monitoring type features PLC centralized control, with each branch equipped with an independent constant-current output module, enabling real-time monitoring of electrode usage. It is fitted with a touch screen that displays current and electrode loss percentage, facilitating better tracking of electrode status.
The control box can be configured with 2-way, 4-way, 6-way, or 8-way control modules as required. Electrode diameters are available in 80mm, 90mm, 120mm, and 150mm, while the electrode length is determined based on the actual seawater processing volume.
